The car BABS broke the World Land Speed Record in 1926 at 171mph. After crashing on Pendine Sands in 1927, killing driver Parry Thomas, she was buried for 42 years.

Some years later (possibly in the late 1970's) I interviewed a guy who was there back in 1926 & ‘27, Mr Isaac Thomas worked for the shell oil company. I kept the cassette tape for over two decades until it was damaged in a house flood in the mid 1990's.

My dad had the Road & Track article describing Babs' recovery from the beach. After 42 years buried the tires still held air!

Well, Parry Thomas was a man, so that doesn't really make sense Antonio. I do understand your confusion however - it would make sense that a woman crashed it

I'm hoping I misread this, and that Parry Thomas was not dug up after 42 years...
