Jacks can fail. Be a real man and use jack stands. 3 ton capacity for $30/pair. There's no excuse.

You're taking some risks with wood blocks Heavyfoot. Wood can split, or fail in other ways leaving you with a 2 ton car on your face. I'd say $30 is a good insurance policy against this

I always use wood blocks as a backup when I'm under the car.
