Looks like a wheelbase stretch. A precision jig is always helpful to ensure altered dimensions are accurate. Ever watch a car "crab" down the road where the rear wheels are tracking slightly offset from the front? I hate when that happens.

I always guessed it had to do with frame damage from a previous wreck. You can never REALLY straighten it back out.
