Factory Five has a great program where you can go to their facility and and build one of these babies start to finish in a group of 10 or so under the supervision of highly trained mechanics and builders over the course of 3 days. It's $799, but I'm sure the experience is amazing.

Theres a huge community of enthusiasts behind FFR. I browse their forum a lot. Though the Cobra kit is awesome, they have a bunch of different kits. I'm partial to the '33 hotrod.

I've wanted to do a project like this for years. Its a great way to go for a beginner, since most of the parts are provided. You don't have to spend tons of time tracking down weird bolts or hoses or anything. Plus the choice of powertrains is yours to make. For the price, nothing even comes close.

Yeah, the hotrod is pretty sweet. If you already have a body you want to use, they will sell you everything to put underneath it for about $10K.
