It has looks that would adorn the sort of supercar book that kids get for Christmas, yet few but the most studied - or tedious - of petrolheads would be able to name this rarity.

It's the product of Monte Carlo Automobile and more specifically the former racing driver - and wonderfully named - Fulvio Maria Ballabio.

The original car bore the moniker of 'Centaire' as it celebrated the centenary of Monte Carlo's Automobile club. Later models were called the GTB.

With help from Lamborghini, the Centaire was constructed with a turbocharged Lambo V12 producing over 700 bhp. Somewhat ahead of its time, a carbon and kevlar chassis was built to cope with the power and particularly the flexing created by such a torquey motor.

Design and construction took five years. The first car was completed in 1989, but despite aspirations of producing a hundred examples, the fledgling supercar maker churned out just five cars.

Whilst it's got tick-box supercar looks, its rarity and oversupply of horsepower still make it somewhat desirable at the right price.

One such GTB is now up for auction in Germany with an estimate of 245,000 Euronimos.

This one has the chassis number EL 0001 - perhaps hinting at the marque's ambition to produce hundreds of 'em. I'm guessing it should also be called 'Centaire' as per the Fulvio's original plan.

The auctioneer's frank description boasts that the car has seen some proper usage thanks to missing grille vents and bodywork cracks due to vibration.

It is of course left-hand-drive, so perhaps just park it up in your French villa and pop out for the odd pint of milk and some boulangeing.

I am the first owner of this all original great condition 33K mileage 1987 Buick Regal Grand National. I have never modified or added anything except for that I have replaced the brake master cylinder, tires, and battery. It has T-tops with covers (as seen in the picture of the trunk). It is in original condition. Original paint is in great condition. No dings, dents, scrapes, or scratches. Underside of car has no rust and rocker panels are like new condition. Wheels and tires are in great condition. Tinted Windows. It has all options except for power antenna, power drivers seat, and security system. Car has never been driven hard or raced. I have taken great care of this car from the beginning. Runs and looks great. I have all original paperwork. Headliner behind the T-tops is starting to sag due to age. There is a small oil leak on the passenger side of the engine. Clear title in hand.

1967 Mercury S55 Convertible for sale by Significant Cars.

This Exceptional example has had a recent cosmetic restoration including new paint and top. With a known history from new, and having traveled through only a few owners, the provenance and documentation accompanying the car make it a rare find. The car runs and drives without fault and is ready for the show or tour circuit. This is the perfect Gentleman's Muscle Car with handling and ride one finds in a larger chassis, but with the punch necessary to be a real threat off the line!

Your next street rod is a 1940 Cadillac LaSalle one of 375 built. This car is set up on a 1940 Buick frame. Currently set up for a big block Chevrolet with a 700R4 automatic transmission. Dropped 3 1/2" on the frame. The frame has a 1969 Camaro front sub frame attached providing a updated front suspension. A mid 1980's monte carlo differential installed. The frame has been cleaned and primed with metal etching primer. A rolling chassis. The floor has been removed and started on installing a replacement from a 1940 sedan which will allow for the different suspension, not completed. Cadillac had a leaf spring rear suspension, the buick provides a coil spring suspension. The rocker panels were rusted and removed. I have new replacement rocker panels. Top of the body, cowl all window posts and quarter panels are solid. Nice straight body. Included with this car are 4 extra doors to allow for a chopped top if desired. One complete extra roof and one extra roof section. Extra rear fenders as well. Very rare car would make a great street rd. All exterior trim included (except for the rocker trim is included and a couple front fender trim pieces) the Grille is in great condition (no broken fins) and the hood extension for the grille is in great condition. The front fenders and rear fenders are in good condition with minor repair required. No interior. The interior window mouldings are included and in great condition. I do not have the original engine, transmission, differential.I was going to chop the top and section the car. This is why I have the extra sheetmetal. Currently there are 4 chevrolet 15 X 7 rally wheel on this car. The camaro alluminum wheels are ont included. The big block engine and transmission are also not included.
