The Futurliners and the GM Parade of Progress: They were once wonders of the automotive world. The public had never seen anything quite like them when they first saw the light of day in 1941. They were GM’s Futurliners and they held out a promise of brighter days to come. The arrival of the fleet of twelve of these second generation vans and their support vehicles in small town America was much akin to the circus coming to town, and the show that the intrepid “Paraders” put on drove the point home. Learn all about them and see a great period color video @ theoldmotor.com/?p=92897
