A very interesting exhibition of images assembled for study can be found at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin. The charm of the extensive collection is that it documents the every day business life in the city, showing the fabric of the many small businesses located there. We have shown only a small part of the collection here, with some of the filling stations, sales agencies and garages that kept the wheels rolling in the south Texas coast area during the great depression.
