As people welcome Jorge Mario Bergoglio as the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, editors at Autoweek.com are speculating on what type of vehicle Pope Francis will use to get around. As a cardinal in Buenos Aires, Bergoglio was known for eschewing a car and driver and taking public transportation, but that might not work in Vatican City and elsewhere the new pope travels. Pope Francis has shunned Pope Benedict's BMWs and Mercedes cars for a used 1984 Renault that he plans to drive himself. The car is a donation from the Rev. Renzo Zocco, who used it to serve the poor in Verona.
