THE super sedan of the era
In the 1970s, the 450SEL 6.9 was the best sports saloon that money could buy. It was the first to have anti-lock brakes and featured the largest engine of any non-domestic production car since WWII. The 6.9 was favored by Formula 1 drivers of the era including Fittipaldi, Lauda, Peterson and Hunt, and entertainment celebrities like Sinatra and Loren.

... and to aficionados of the the cult classic Rendezvous by director Claude Lelouch, did you know that its main actor was in fact a 6.9 that stormed the dawn streets of Paris?!

This stunning W116 is a Euro spec edition with svelte bumpers, 286 HP, massive 405 ft lbs of torque and good for 140 MPH. Originally owned by Steve Archibald, the famed FCBarcelona football player. Fully optioned with copper brown metallic paint and beige leather. Same ownership since the 1980s and immaculate in every respect.

Only 7,380 6.9 models were built during their seven-year production run and are highly coveted today. Located in Barcelona and priced at 38,000 Euros.
