The 1928 Cord L29 featured the novel concept of front wheel drive on a production passenger car. This engineering feat allowed for a lower center of gravity (no drive shaft) and its designer Alan Leamy penned its famous look. Several body styles were offered and the long lost L29 Speedster has been recreated at least twice by eager enthusiasts.
