The internet did it so you don’t have to. Here’s the worst racing movie in history, Driven, edited down to two-minute form—only the crashes.

Driven is not merely the worst racing movie ever. It’s one of the worst Hollywood movies ever produced. The plot is insipid, the characters loathsome, the action unwatchable. One critic compared watching Driven to contracting a horrible skin disease, with the disease being preferable.

If there are any entertaining moments at all in Driven, they might be in the crash scenes. Each one is a hilarious violation of physics, good taste, and common sense. It’s as though producer Sylvester Stallone and director Renny Harlin (who should both be in jail for this, frankly) were attempting to invent a new form of pornographic violence but missed. Viewers will in no way be moved—except to howls of laughter.

Thank you to JaunKym (YouTube channel here) for distilling Driven to its most watchable form.

A short film about Awesomefest 2011, an incredible event held at Mallory park, no comps, just a fun weekend of driving, skating, bikes, motox and great music.
Huge thanks to Al Clark for driving his M3 chase car all day so we could get the onboard shots and a very special thanks to driftworks.com for allowing me to shoot their event.

I’m a huge fan of projected 8mm home movies shot to video and uploaded to YouTube. I’m an even bigger fan when the film is from Oscar Koveleski collection and he narrates a lap, describing the obscured driving line, elevation changes, and corners of one of America’s great tracks. So let’s take a spin around Road Atlanta with Oscar in his Auto World McLaren M8B. I’d take his advice, this was probably filmed the weekend he took 4th in the Can-Am Road Atlanta race in September 1970.

Several tuners have created tuning packages for the Range Rover. If you are a daily reader of GTspirit you can name at least five of them. The latest in the tuning world is this Range Rover Sport with a custom wheel set. Earlier this year we saw a new hype emerge from the South-East, chrome wraps on every possible car. This trend conquered the automotive world. The eye-catching wrap was clearly not enough for this American owner. He added a custom set of 24 inch rims.

In 2001, Honda introduced the K-series 2.0L and 2.4L naturally aspirated engines (a 2.3L turbocharged model appeared in 2007), all of which replaced the B- and H-series engines. The motor was a godsend for tuners across the world, making it possible to reach power levels of over 250 hp with aftermarket bolt-on parts and tuning. We recently had an opportunity to test a K20A2 found in the Acura RSX Type-S on Skunk2’s DTS engine dynamometer for this month’s Power Pages at Skunk2’s headquarters in Norco, CA. The Skunk2 engine dyno has become an integral part of their R&D program, allowing them to test multiple race engines in various stages, as well as prototype parts before introducing them to the market.

Chassis dynos are fairly common among tuning shops, but locating an engine dyno can be more elusive. If you’re in need of engine dyno services to break in a new engine or to test a few bolt-on parts to see which products will net maximum power gains before attempting to drop that engine under your hood, browse the Internet to help find the nearest shop.
