Tesla's business plan was to target higher end buyers first since they would be able to absorb the extra costs asspcoated with this emerging technology. Once they get the kinks worked out, economy of scale manufacturing will help to lower costs on future models

I don't know about the rest of the country, but I've still yet to see a single charging station where this thing could fuel up.,, $100,000 for a car that can't leave a hundred mile radius of my house doesn't sound too convenient...
