Ghost stripes and gold Daytons, always a slick combo.

I'm always astounded by the amount of detail that goes into lowriders. In addition to the amazing paint jobs, most of the engine bay and undercarriage is chromed. This is a great example.

Take your basic metalic paintjob - a basecoat clearcoat deal - and that alone will probably cost you in the neighborhood of $3k, right? Then add the fact that you have three to four other extra layers of tinted clearcoat added in between and the extra materials (tape, paper, sandpaper, cleaning solutions, etc. - they all add up!!) and then there is the pinstriping that will need to be done after the blending is done.....I don't know what it would REALLY cost to do this, but I'd double the cost of a normal metalflake job...

I have done scallops and roof flakes and the labor part of all of these processes just sucks. It took me 4 or 5 hours to mask off the scallops and other details. My best guess for cost is $5-6k, but I'm an ameteur so take it for what it's worth.
