This vehicle was acquired by the seller as a complete matching numbers SS Jaguar saloon. The saloon coachwork was removed and has been replaced by a stunning open tourer body crafted by the finest UK specialists to exacting standards. This special SS not a "bitsa" assembled from random parts; it is a fully correct vehicle with new open coachwork. The original saloon body is included in purchase (photos included in this listing).
New tourer coachwork to exacting specifications by Ken Sparkes and alluminum metal panel work by Trevor Davis of the UK over original drivetrain. Vehicle originally a saloon as documented from the SS Registry. Acquired by the present owner in this state whereupon an exhaustive restoration began using only the finest craftsman and materials. 100% complete and ready for paint, top and interior trim to the buyer's perference.
The 1936 production year is the rarest of the SS vehicles and the first to carry the Jaguar name.
