The Kontinentals present the Day of the Drag Race! Friday and Saturday October 4th & 5th, 2013
Historic Little River Dragway has been a piece of Texas hot rodding history since it opened in 1957. That history lives on today as the Kontinentals host our 12th annual vintage drag racing show, two great days on that tree-lined quarter mile track that has changed so little in all these years.
Traditionally-built hot rods, stock cars, gassers and dragsters, all American made 1963 and older are welcome to come have fun with some 1/4 mile drag racing out on this great old dragstrip. Come "run what ya brung" - or just take in the sights and sounds of this unique event.

We had the privilege to not only shoot one e24 Alpina but two of these incredibly rare machines. How rare you ask? The e24 Alpina B10 3.5 is the only one of its kind that exists in the Western Hemisphere and is one of 14 that are known to be left in the world. It is a rare sight to see one of these cruising down the street, but seeing one together with another e24 Alpina is a whole different ballgame.

At every race the congregation of women — wives, mistresses, girlfriends — holding clipboards and stopwatches in the pits prepared themselves for the moment when a car failed to appear at the end of a lap. After the success of the first American Touge, we conducted an open casting call for US tuner cars to appear in the sequel AT2 to be tested and driven to the limits touge style by Keiichi "Drift King" Tsuchiya and his sidekick Yasuyuki Kazama. 33 cars divided into 4 different classes were chosen to battle it out to challenge last year's "Touge Monster", Comptech NSX. Hotties Kazumi Kondo and Verena Mei co-host the show.Cars were divided into NA RWD, Turbo RWD, FR and AWD classes. Promising contenders from the first American Touge such as Hasport, Top Setup, Techno Toy Tuning, Vishnu and XS Engineering were there to avenge the Touge Monster title.
