Django became obsessed by the infamous Indian Well of Death riders in Allahabad. So, naturally, they asked Noisey if we'd be up for travelling over to India and standing right in the middle of large lumps of precariously speeding metal for a day, to film a video for their track "Wor". We happily obliged, getting our shoes stolen in the process, but it was worth it to meet a bunch of guys with the most rock solid testicles we've ever come across.

Trail Braking
Popular in racing, this tricky process of using the brakes past a corner entrance creates a weight transfer towards the front tires, which increases traction and reduces understeering. Only drivers of the highest caliber, ones who really know their cars, have a shot at making this one work. If they do, they can enter sharp corners at higher speeds and obliterate their competition.

Scandinavian Flick
We first thought this was a popular hockey move, but upon further research, we discovered it’s a popular technique used in rallying, in which the driver steers away from a sharp turn while lifting off the throttle and lightly braking, then steering back into the turn while releasing the brake and maintaining the throttle. If applied correctly, the car will slide sideways away from the turn, and then slingshot around the corner to the desired direction. It will also get you the phone number of a Swedish goddess.

Drifting
Before Vin Diesel and Paul Walker made drifting mainstream, this driving technique in which the driver intentionally oversteers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns, has amassed a cult-like following in places where racing and car culture reign supreme, like Japan. In fact, entire competitions are dedicated to drifting, which feature cars specifically built for the popular technique. It's so thrilling, it feels like riding a bike through a blazing fire while performing a headstand, for the very first time. Ah, kindergarten, how we miss you.

Handbrake turn
If you happen to find yourself in a high-speed car chase (it’s OK, we won’t ask why), this popular move will turn a pursuer’s head upside down. By using the handbrake to lock the rear wheels while using the steering wheel to transfer the weight to the outside tires, the car will slide sideways, giving you a better shot at making that sharp turn without really slowing down.

Not to be confused with the winter sport of the same name, skiing in the auto world is one of the most difficult and dangerous stunts to achieve. It occurs when a car is driven while balancing on two wheels, either on the driver’s side or the passenger’s side, and is usually accomplished by driving one pair of wheels up on a ramp to lift one side of the car. This is popping a wheelie’s evil twin brother and should only be attempted by fictional action heroes who can’t ever die.

This may be the quintessential driving trick, though also one of the most difficult to pull off, especially with a car. A wheelie occurs when the front wheels leave the ground after extreme torque is applied to the rear wheels. It is also what the jocks were popping in high school, while you were popping zits.
