1989 marked my first trip to the Monterey car weekend, which included the Pebble Beach Concours and the Rick Cole Sports Car Auction (today figure on a solid week devoted to non-stop auctions, concours, parties, and little sleep). Aston Martin was the featured marque and there was a special AMOC celebration at the Quail Lodge. Here's a shot of Sir David Brown with wife Paula Benton, then AML Chairman Victor Gauntlett, and AML financier Peter Livanos. Ms. Brown's shoulders are soooo eighties!
