All-weather fighters! VMF65 is Chassis LML/50/9 with great results piloted by Abecassis, Thompson, Rob Walker, inter alia - alas it crashed en route to Le Mans so it was left to VMF63 and VMF64 to finish 6th and 5th respectively at Le Mans 1950. A great result for a tiny car maker! VMF65 rebuilt for victories later in 1950. Great shot!

Thanks for the clarification, Nick. As you know, the closest I got to anything resembling Aston team car bragging rights was LML/50/11, a three-piece grille example with documented Sebring history. Purchased from Warrend Ogden late 1980s, now in the UK fully restored.
