Up for sale is a 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible. The car is yellow in color and has a soft top. Almost everything on the car is original. A new gas tank was put in a few years ago. The motor was rebuilt about 5 years ago and the odometer reads 8,311 on the rebuilt motor. The tires are new and have less than 100 miles of use. There was also an Alpine stereo system with remote put into the car. It has been in the possession of the current owner for approximately 7 years. Its not clear whether the paint is original, but it is old with some paint loss and chips as shown in the pictures. There is no body damage to the car. The car runs and drives beautifully.

If you want to be inconspicuous, you certainly would not want to be driving this very rare 1971 De Tomaso Pantera with flared fenders and the whales-tail! It is one awesome looking piece of automotive art. This is a very very early production car, number 77 off the assembly line, with a super powerful 351 Cleveland Ford V8 engine, a ZF 5 speed transmission / trans-axle, with Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and rack and pinion steering, and factory air!!! These early cars are known as push button cars because of the push button exterior door handles. It was updated to look more like the GTS Panteras with the aggressive flairs and distinctive whales tail spoiler on the rear. The engine was completely built to Pantera standards or better. This Beautiful car was restored back in the late 80's after it was a stolen recovery. It still looks as awesome as it did the day it was restored!! Unlike the 71 Pantera Elvis owned, this one does not have bullet holes in the dash!!! She's sporting an aggressive set of Perilli's with Super-wides on the rear. You certainly do not have to worry about meeting yourself at a traffic light in this sporty beast. Popular Mechanics did an amazing car test for their March 1981 issue that they called the "Million Dollar Car Test". They collected one of every super car of the era and put them through a grueling test with famous drivers like Sterling Moss and Phil Hill. And after all the dust settled the winner was ....... the bad boy of the group the de Tomaso Pantera. Even more interesting, the Pantera used was one of the 1981 models that was not very fast compared to the earlier production models! It comes with current Georgia Registration. GA is a non title state on older vehicles.

1960 Aston Martin DB4GT ZAGATO RECREATION - $2,400,000.00

INCREDIBLE RESTORATION 1960 ASTON MARTIN DB4GT ZAGATO 5 SPEED AIR CONDITIONED

HAND-CRAFTED ALUMINUM BODY BUILT SUPERCHARGED DB7 MOTOR

WHEN THE SULTAN OF BRUNEI AND HIS BROTHER PRINCE JEFFRI WERE BUYING ANY AND
EVERYTHING THEY WANTED, THEIR AUTOMOTIVE COLLECTION WAS GROUPING TOGETHER
THE BEST CARS FROM EVERY PERFORMANCE BRAND. THIS INCLUDED SEVERAL CUSTOM BUILT
ASTON MARTINS INCLUDING A VANTAGE SPECIAL SERIES I. TAKING ALMOST ALL OF IT'S
CUES FROM THE CLASSIC DB4 ZAGATO, THESE MODERN INTERPRETATIONS WERE SKETCHED
OUT SPECIFICALLY FOR THE SULTAN MIMICKING THE 1961 RACE CAR WHICH WAS SENT TO
TURIN AND BODIED BY SPECIALIST COACHBUILDER ZAGATO. OF THE ORIGINAL 19 BUILT.

WE, THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT, STARTED OUT TRYING TO FORM A MORE PERFECT
UNION BY COMBINING THE PAST WITH THE PRESENT (AS DID THE SULTAN OF BRUNEI). IT
WAS A SIMPLE, YET AMBITIOUS PREMISE. TAKE THE ELEGANCE AND TIMELESS STYLING OF A
1960 ASTON MARTIN DB4GT ZAGATO, MERGE IT WITH THE POWER & ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
OF A PRESENT DAY ASTON THUS CREATING THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. THIS CAR
WOULD HAVE THE LOOK OF ONE OF THE RAREST & HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER CARS IN THE WORLD
ALONG WITH THE DRIVABILITY OF SOME OF THE TOP RATED SPORTS CARS AVAILABLE TODAY.

PLANNING WAS METICULOUS AND THOROUGH. FIRST, WE HAD TO BUILD A COMPLETE NEW
ALUMINUM BODY, INCLUDING THE ZAGATO COACHWORK. THE FRAME WAS SENT TO WORLD
RENOWNED COACHBUILDER, CLIVE SMART, AT THE SHAPECRAFT FACILITY IN NEWPORT PAGNELL,
ENGLAND. THERE, THE ASTON BODY WAS METICULOUSLY CRAFTED OUT OF NOTHING MORE THAN
PREMIUM ALUMINUM AND THE SKILL OF THE ARTIST'S HANDS MANIPULATING THEIR ENGLISH
WHEELS. STATESIDE, PLANS WERE ENGINEERED TO ACCOMMODATE A SUPERCHARGED DB7 WITH
A 5 SPEED GETRAG TRANSMISSION FROM AN ALFRED DUNHILL EDITION. THEN ANOTHER SLOW
BOAT BACK TO THE U.S.A. WHERE ASSEMBLY OF THE ENGINE, ELECTRONICS, UPHOLSTERY,
EXHAUST, SUSPENSION, ETC. BEGAN. WHEN IT WAS ALL COMPLETE AND THE LAST LITTLE
BIT OF PERFECTION HAD BEEN LAVISHED ON IT - WE DECIDED TO MARKET THE CAR.

THAT IN AND OF ITSELF WAS NOT EASY AS, AFTER ALL, WE HAD CREATED THIS CAR OUT OF NOTHING.
HOWEVER, AS UNCOMFORTABLE A NOTION AS SELLING MAY HAVE BEEN, IT WAS NOTHING COMPARED
TO WHAT WAS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. AFTER WE UNVEILED OUR CREATION THROUGH SEVERAL
WEBSITES AND eBAY, WE WERE BLINDSIDED BY SOMETHING TOTALLY UNEXPECTED. SOMEONE FROM
HALFWAY AROUND THE WORLD WAS CLAIMING TO HAVE ANOTHER ASTON WITH OUR SAME V.I.N.
PLATE. WE WERE DUMBFOUNDED AND DEVASTATED AS WE HAD NEARLY 40 YEARS OF TITLE AND
OWNERSHIP HISTORY. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO CEASE MARKETING UNTIL WE COULD UNRAVEL
THE TRUTH. TO THIS DAY WE HAVE NEVER SEEN A SINGLE PICTURE OF THIS "OTHER" CAR OR ONE
SHRED OF EVIDENCE THAT OURS IS NOT THE GENUINE ARTICLE. BUT IN THE INTERESTS OF
FAIRNESS TO A POTENTIAL BUYER, REPUTATIONS, EXORBITANT INTERNATIONAL LITIGATION
COST AND WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH LOST TIME, WE FELT THE ETHICAL & LOGICAL THING TO
DO WAS REVEAL THE FACTS OF WHAT WE KNEW. WITH MUCH ANGUISH WE SECURED AN
UNENCUMBERED TITLE WITH A NEW V.I.N. PLATE ISSUED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS.

SINCE THAT TIME WE HAVE LEARNED THAT RECORD KEEPING IN THOSE EARLY DAYS AT
ASTON WAS NOT EFFICIENT AND DUPLICATE V.I.N. PLATES WERE NOT UNHEARD OF.
WE BELIEVE THIS CAR TO BE THE GENUINE ARTICLE,
BUT WE KNOWIT IS 100% ASTON MARTIN.

In 1992, when David Gooding worked in the car department at Christie’s, he received a telephone call from a lawyer charged with settling the estate of an elderly woman who had died alone in Vevey, Switzerland. For a time this woman summered at a hotel in Greenwich, Conn., and among her possessions there was a dusty old Mercedes that had been languishing in a warehouse, surrounded by old carnival equipment. “It’s black,” Gooding recalled the lawyer saying. “It’s a convertible, and it’s old.”

“How old?” Gooding asked.

“I don’t know. But it has pipes coming out of the side.”

This was no ordinary Mercedes. It turned out to be an exceedingly rare 1936 540K Special Roadster. Fewer than 10 such cars are said to survive in comparable condition, and Gooding, who is now the president of his own auction house, Gooding and Company, believes the completely restored roadster might set the record for the most expensive car ever sold at auction when his firm offloads it in August during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The car, post-restoration.
“We sold a Ferrari Testa Rossa last year for $16 million,” Gooding said, noting the last time he set a record. “If this car hits that number, it wouldn’t surprise me.”

Back in the early 1990s, Gooding failed to get the Mercedes consigned to Christie’s, and eventually a private buyer swooped in. But now that same buyer is keen on selling, which means Gooding finally has his chance to bring the roadster to the open market. “I’ve been chasing this car for a long time,” he said.

Much of the car’s value is derived from its rarity and its condition — “every panel on this car is original,” Gooding said — yet it also possesses a ludicrously colorful provenance. It was purchased 76 years ago by the family of a Prussian baroness who is straight out of a Alan Furst novel: she was elegant, coquettish, depressive, a dead ringer for Marlene Dietrich who fancied jewels and lived in the best hotels in Paris and Cannes. This was the Baroness Gisela Josephine von Krieger, born into old Prussian aristocracy in 1913. She was a society fixture in London, even attending the coronation of King George VI. She resided in France until 1938 and, after being summoned back to Nazi Germany, fled to Monaco, then Switzerland. The Mercedes, which was being repaired when war broke out, was shipped to her after she negotiated a Swiss visa by feigning an illness. (All this history was entertainingly sussed out by George Maley for a 2005 story published in a magazine called The Classic Car.)

In the 1950s, von Krieger brought the roadster to New York, where the baroness lived in hotels like the Waldorf-Astoria and the St. Regis. She left the car in the United States when she returned to Switzerland, in 1959, and in the subsequent decades grew increasingly reclusive. In 1989, when she died of a heart attack, she was living in Havishamian squalor, with $320,000 worth of jewels by Cartier and others — later auctioned off by Sotheby’s — scattered around her filthy apartment. “She really died very much alone. It was quite a tragic story,” Gooding said. “When they discovered her body, she had been dead for quite some time.” Her Mercedes Roadster, secreted away for four decades in Connecticut, proved to be the best custodian of von Krieger’s glamorous legacy. When the car was found, the glove box contained a pair of the baroness’s white silk gloves. In the ashtray were ancient cigarette butts, stained with lipstick.

This 61' Vette looks MEAN with those deep dish wheels.

This ground-up custom built 1961 Corvette is a truly one of a kind custom convertible beast. It was recently at the Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale but unfortunately did not meet reserve. Now is your chance to own this California car with original Black Plates.

Starting with the frame of this C1 stunner, it has been notched to allow for a perfectly low ride height with 20x10 inch rear wheels. A custom C4 front suspension assembly with power rack and pinion steering, a Chris Alston 4-link rear suspension setup with adjustable coilovers, and C4 Corvette disc brakes on all four corners with hydroboost make this car feel like it’s on rails with superb handling and braking.

The drive train is just as impressive with a brand new LS3 crate motor with Sanderson headers, DeWitte custom aluminum radiator and a Tremec 5-speed transmission. A set of billet March Performance serpentine pulleys keep all the accessories tight including the Classic Auto Air air-conditioning. A Rock Valley custom made aluminum fuel tank makes sure there is a clean and constant flow of gas to the 6.2 Liter all aluminum motor.

The body was stripped down to bare fiberglass, completely re-gelcoated and professionally painted to stunning show quality. The only body modifications were extending the rear wheel tubs to fit the monstrous 20x10 inch American Racing wheels, while the front was able to fit 18x8.5s. All bumpers and trim have also been professionally re-chromed for that show finish.

The interior of this low open-top street-rod is the showpiece. The seats are custom built and upholstered in a classy charcoal suede and leather with red stitching. The dash and door panels are also upholstered in the same leather and suede with red stitching. The center console is a completely custom piece which houses the Classic Auto Air controls, a Pioneer head-unit connected to a custom sound system, and a custom shifter boot for the the Tremec 5-speed. The column is a Flaming-River unit with a custom upholstered billet steering wheel. A set of Classic Instrument gauges round off the dash and again full custom floor and trunk carpets match the rest of the interior.

With a brutally powerful engine, modern performance suspension and brakes, completely custom interior, and the classic elegance of the C1 body this is a 1961 Corvette not to be passed up. Over 200k invested.

Anybody want to show a little love to a 1955 Bel Air?

1955 Chevrolet Belair 2 door sedan. 235 six cylinder, Powerglide automatic. The original body has some rust but it’s fairly solid. The pictures show the condition. The trunk floor has a few holes but not too bad for original. The floor pans and some of the body mounts were repaired before I got it. The lower part of the right rear quarter panel has been patched long ago. The doors, hood and trunk open and close with ease and good alignment. The seats are original but have non-original covers.

It starts right up. It runs, drives and stops good. I drive it locally but it will need new hoses and possibly belts before it should be driven long distances. The engine and transmission are sound and don’t leak. This chevy could be a good weekend driver or restored to original or custom. Either way, it’s getting hard to find unrestored 55s that are complete and ready to drive. If you would like to see the car, call me at 573-915-2235. A $500 deposit must be made within 24 hours after auction ends. And balance must be paid in full within 7 days after auction ends.

Please note : I consider this car to be a good project. It is mostly original and 58 years old so I can’t guarantee any cross-country drives.

Clear MO Title in Hand.

I am selling this along with some other project chevys that all run and drive. No Trades, I need the space.

Thanks.
