Early one morning a quarter of a century ago, Italian government officials arrived outside a gleaming, state-of-the-art architectural masterpiece that had been hailed as one of the most ambitious and exciting industrial sites in the world when it was unveiled barely five years earlier. Their purpose? To lower the curtain on a quixotic adventure, a roller-coaster of ambition, money, showmanship and bitter rivalries. It all came crashing down to earth at 8.30am that day when the official seals were applied to the entrance by the bankruptcy judge.
The factory has been abandoned, untouched and largely unseen for the past two decades. Until now.
This is the story of the forgotten supercar, told on camera for the first time by the men who tried to rewrite the rulebook by reviving a long-lost legend. They succeeded in creating their own motoring history, but not with the final chapter they intended.

Electric violinist Tracy Silverman paid a visit to the Killorin garage and loved the sound of our Duesy's straight eight motor. More on this incredible musician at www.tracysilverman.com.

Django became obsessed by the infamous Indian Well of Death riders in Allahabad. So, naturally, they asked Noisey if we'd be up for travelling over to India and standing right in the middle of large lumps of precariously speeding metal for a day, to film a video for their track "Wor". We happily obliged, getting our shoes stolen in the process, but it was worth it to meet a bunch of guys with the most rock solid testicles we've ever come across.

WATCH THIS NOW!
A super-charged Ford Mustang is under hot pursuit by the law and throws them off its tail one by one, but it may have met its match when it comes up against a mysterious black police Chevy Corvette...
This stop motion action film using toy cars took 6 months to shoot for just under 3 minutes of film! It was filmed using bespoke rigging systems and an iPhone with an application called Stop Motion Studio.

I shudder to think how many classic trax o' wax were accidentally melted into "conversation pieces," when left in the summer heat. Also, I hope Grandma didn't attempt to change a bunch of 45s while negotiating the intersection at Piccadilly Circus!

Some of the many accolades coming from enthusiasts who have driven Evoques came from accomplished road racer (Lola T70 Spyder) and rock group AC/DC front man, Brian Johnson. We spent an afternoon with Brian, above, and an Evoque while he was back home from practicing for the upcoming (January 28-29) Rolex Daytona 24-hour enduro. He will be one of the pilots of the Highway To Help Daytona Prototype. It’s Brian’s first 24-hour race and he’ll be driving a Dinan-prepared BMW-Riley DP in the 50th anniversary running of the classic.
"It is bloody brilliant, goes anywhere and drives, handles, stops and is as functional as a sporty, luxury hatchback. It may be a Crossover or SUV, but I think it’s a super car," said rocker Johnson.

The 1960 Plymouth Fury had the option of a dashboard record player: the RCA Victor “Highway Hi-Fi”. It could play up to fourteen “45” records consecutively.
To avoid records skipping this set of wheels had to have been a very smooth ride.
