From Dave Mitchell's Facebook page:

"People ask me how much it will cost to paint a car. There is no way to answer that question beyond just a guess, but I can tell you that to get started you need to have paint - this is 2 gallons of green base coat and clear and the additives needed - not the primers or sealer that goes under it or any labor. The paint in this photo is $2038 - my price, not even retail."

New See Through Michelin Tire With No Value Stems and No Air!

The U.S. Military is seemingly always looking for a better technology, a better way for our troops. Announcing a new airless tire. I got a hold of some actual pictures in a South Carolina plant.

Wow, no value stem, no air, and I can see through it
They have been testing these for several years now. Resilient Tech was developing them for the military application.

Just think of the impact on existing technology:

A. no more air valves…

B. no more air compressors at gas stations…

C. no more repair kits…

D. no more flats…

This design reminds me of the 1959 Movie featuring the Ben Hur Chariot

Yes, those are ‘spoke’ like connections to the inner part of the tire from the outside tread ‘wrap!’

This picture shows how odd the tire appears with virtually no rubber in motion over a bump… wonder how the ride feels?

The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these.

This is a vintage Sun 7,000 RPM tachometer. The model number is RC-72. This tachometer was made by Sun for GM. This tach was factory installed in 62 Impalas with the high horsepower 409 engine when the tachometer option was ordered. This is the real deal original GM parts.

This tach is in very good original condition. The face is very nice with a chrisp dial as shown. The lens is real glass and is very nice and clean. The front bezel shines well with expected scataching, etc from age. The back of the tach is as nice as the front. The positive terminal is partically broken and there is still enough there to attach the wire. This is a super nice original Sun tach!

They really don't get any better than this one! A factory GM 6,000 RPM redline tach in working condition! It is parts like this that make great cars stand out from the rest. Don't install a reproduction tach in your car. It can call the entire car's authenticity into question. Stick with original parts and stand proud!

This tach has been tested with the appropriate transmitter and works great as shown in the video below. To watch the video, stimple click on the play icon in the picture below.

A cup and sending unit for this tach can be found in my other listings.

This is your chance to own a very hard to find original 7,000 RPM Sun tachometer with the 6k RPM redline for your special car or collection. Don't Miss out!
